Take Butler and West Virginia to Meet in the Championship Game

Take Me Home Country Roads–that will be the song we hear about 11PM Saturday night after the Mountaineers manhandle Duke. Two years ago at Verizon in the round of 32 game, Hugins and Company shut down Kyle Singler while a guy named Mazulla came off the bench to have a huge game and lead WVU to victory. West Virginia is a very strange team to play in that Duke hasn’t seen the likes of a helter skelter offense that features DeShawn Butler. By the end of the year they were clearly better then anyone in the Big East and Huggins really threw off the Wildcats offense. Of course Duke doesn’t have an incompetent coach like Kentucky, but I like the run WV has been on rather the cakewalk Duke had.

45000 Basketball crazed Hoosiers will fill Lucas Oil Stadium and will help this excellent Butler team defeat the Spartans. Of course last year MSU was in a similar position but they were playing the Charlotte Bobcats–errrrrrrrr the Carolina Tar Heels. MSU has to suffer the loss of Kalin Lucas. for whatever reason, Bruce Pearl removed full court pressure from his arsenal last week and fell meekly to the Spartans. No such luck for Tom Izzo this week. MSU has no answer for Gordon Heyward and Shelvin Mack. Home team will prevail and I don’t think it will be close.
