I repeat why do you trade one of the best closers in the game and get back a AA propect who might never make it in the big leagues? Why sign a closer who was 10-17 last year? The O’s got off to an exrcuciating horrible start last night, going 1-12 with runners in scoring position and having their new closer absolutely cost us the game. No I am not happy about doing an I told you so number but………Tonight Jerermy Guthrie goes for the O’s–I doubt the stopper will matter.

   terrible game for gonzo as closer. terrible job by the o’s with situational hitting. one positive thing if the o’s get off to a bad start…trembley will be fired and maybe macphail can find a real major league manager to come to baltimore.
