SACRE BLEU!!!!!!! Canadians Overwhelm Capitals 2-1 in 7th Game–Tremendous Regular Season Wasted!!!!

Stunning!!! I am not a big hockey fan. I am a Caps fans. I admit not to know a ton about the game. But I know what I see. After the type of regular season the Caps had anything less then a loss in the Stanley Cup Finals would have been disappointing. Losing in the Conference Finals would have been horrible. What happened last night was a DISASTER!!! Some of my thoughts.

This team has not been the same since the Olympics. The whole episode broke the momentum of the team. I guess #8 can get away with saying he will play in Russia in 4 years no matter what, but I hope the NHL takes another look at suspending its season to accomodate the games.

Bruce Boudreau was thoroughly outcoached and many are calling into question his theory of going with the same kind of play that won the President’s Trophy for Washington.
It is unthinkable to lose 3 playoff games at home. I don’t know what the Caps should have done different but it was a lot more then a hot goalie that beat this team. The Caps looked lifeless and this falls on the coach.

Errors by Mike Green led to both Montreal goals. That’s 2 straight horrible playoffs for #52. I doubt if he will get a 3rd chance to screw up.

What a joke the regular season is. President’s Trophy, scoring records, 35-6 at home, —the Caps pathetic performance ruled all this irrelevant. What hurt the most was the huge letdown for the fans, who are absolutely incredible. I love 7th games and woke up yesterday knowing I just had to go to Verizon. What a difficult ticket to get. The fans and the color Red take over the streets around Chinatown and the arena.
