Gary Schneider went 4-for-4 and Maryland cranked out 13 of its 15 hits in the first five innings on the way to a 10-5 victory over Towson Wednesday afternoon. Maryland jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and batted around in the fifth, scoring six runs to take a commanding lead. Schneider, a freshman who had his first multiple-hit game last Friday against Miami, recorded two hits in the fifth inning alone against Towson. He led off the inning with a double, his third of the game, and capped it off with an RBI single that plated Maryland’s sixth run of the inning.
