I truly believe we will see a free wheeling, offensive minded, #1 Terrapin squad take the field tonight at Johnny Unitas Stadium in its quest to return the NCAA Championship to its rightful home in College Park. Caitlyn McFadden will lead the troops into battle against a Syracuse squad that is attempting to make a late season run to the title. But this Terrapin squad is too deep. Goalie Brittany Dipper has been magnificent since her 1 game benching in the middle of the season. Sarah Mollison has been elevating her game as she prepares to take over team leader mantle after Caitlyn departs next year. Yea–I’m looking forward to this game tonight.
In the other semifinal matchup—5 time Champion Northwestern will attempt to avenge its only home loss in years when it faces North Carolina. However , the Tar Heelswill never forget the shellacking they took from the Wildcats in last years title game. Its Katrina Dowd vs Corey Donohoe and Jenn Russell. I wouldn’y be shocked to see this one go into overtime. I pick the Tar Heels in a squeaker.
