#2 Field Hockey Crushes #10 Louisville 8-0

The top-ranked Maryland field hockey team (17-1, 5-0 ACC) beat No. 10 Louisville (13-6, 5-1 Big East) 8-0 Saturday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The Terps honored their three seniors, Amanda Himmelheber, Katie O’Donnell and Alicia Morawski, prior to the game.  The Terrapin defense held the Cardinals to just eight total shots and two shots on goal in the game, both shots on goal coming in the game’s final minute. Maryland took 20 shots on the day. “We played very strong and we finished well,” head coach Missy Meharg said. “I’m very proud of Alicia Morawski, Amanda Himmelheber and Katie O’Donnell. They’re great leaders and it was a very fitting Senior Day for them. It was a great Maryland Day as well.” from umterps.com
