The Maryland field hockey team will get to play at home in College Park for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament this weekend. The ACC Champion Terps (19-1) will play host to UMass in the opening round. “We’re just honored. It’s a new team, it’s a new staff,” head coach Missy Meharg said. “It’s a great field of teams and we’re just really excited to be at home here in College Park.” The Terrapins and the Minutewomen will take the field Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Both American and Connecticut will come to College Park for the First Round and will play at 2 p.m. The two teams that win on Saturday will face off at 2 p.m. Sunday. from umterps.com
