Men’s Soccer Cruises 4-0 over Penn—Next Up Penn State in Round of 16

Men’s soccer easily defeated the Penn Quakers on Sunday. Matt Kassel scored a goal and added an assist as second-seeded Maryland toppled Penn, 4-0, Sunday in the second round of the 2010 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship.  John Stertzer, Greg Young and Patrick Mullins joined Kassel as goal-scorers to propel Maryland (18-2-1), winners of 14 straight, to the round-of-16 for the ninth consecutive season. Maryland faces a rematch of last year’s NCAA second round tilt when it plays host to No. 15 Penn State at Ludwig Field next Sunday. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. and will be webcast live on NCAA.com/allaccess.
