Terps Battle Michigan Saturday for Position in the College Cup

No. 2 seed Maryland hopes to punch its ticket to the College Cup when it plays host to Michigan Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ludwig Field in the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship.  Taylor Kemp’s first career goal secured Maryland’s helped defeat Penn State and secure the Terps’ quarterfinal bid last Sunday. The sophomore defender, who was named to both College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer.com’s National Team of the Week, also quelled Corey Hertzog, holding the nation’s top scorer to only one shot, and guided Maryland to its 15th shutout this season and fourth in a row.
