DC United Signs Sophomore Ethan White

Maryland defender Ethan White has signed to play professionally with Major League Soccer’s D.C. United, becoming the squad’s fourth Homegrown player, the club announced Tuesday morning.¬†White, a sophomore, progressed from United’s Academy to Maryland, where he led the Terps to back-to-back NCAA Quarterfinal appearances and a 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference title. The Kensington, Md., product helped Maryland equal its program-best mark for shutouts in a season (15) and was tabbed a second team All-ACC selection for his efforts.”It’s always been a dream for Ethan to play professionally and for D.C.
