The No. 14/15 Maryland women’s basketball team fell at No. 3/3 Duke 71-64 Thursday night in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Terps (13-2, 0-1 ACC) held the lead through much of the game behind junior Kim Rodgers’ career high 18 points, but the Blue Devils (15-0, 1-0 ACC) surged in the last two minutes for the win. Rodgers hit three three’s for her 18 points, while freshman Alyssa Thomas notched her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Jasmine Thomas nailed a 3 for Duke with 2:41 left to give Duke the lead that they would not relinquish.
