PeShon Takes Over The Reigns of The Offense as Terps Coast 91-70 Over Wake Forest

Post Game Report –Excuse the Lighting

27 Assists, 7 Turnovers, 9 steals—–This is what PeShon triggered today. The Terrapins though playing a weak Demon Deacon team, looked better then they have all year. PeShon brings a toughness to this team that resonated throughout the team. Passing was better, better 3 oint looks, better effort across the board. You had a ense the game was in PeShon’s hands as he controlled the ball for 32 minutes. No exaggeration. gary talked about PeShon post game: “I think [Pe’Shon Howard] had something to do with it. I think that’s a good point. If you bring energy in basketball it is contagious and it’s a small area–it’s 94 feet–so, you pick up on that. It’s easy to pick up on that when you have a guy like Pe’Shon at the start of the game the way he was playing, but I also thought Adrian Bowie that type of energy. And then when Hauk [Haukur Palsson] comes into the game, he brings that level of energy from the bench and did a great job with that tonight.

Jordan 27 points 15 rebounds –that says it all.

Hawk Palsson continues to improve and certainly might have the best free standing outside shot on the team. He finished with 9 points.

This was win #664 for Gary today tieing John Wooden for wins. He commented: “I think he coached like 27 or 28 years and this is my 33rd, so I guess he had a few more seasons with a few more wins than me. In his era he was so dominant and it was this West Coast team [UCLA] that you never saw play because game weren’t on television. I remember watching a final four that was delayed telecast–CBS put it on after the local news–and if you look at John Wooden, what he did was he glamorized the game.”

The Terps have a break in the ACC schedule and playLongwood Wednesday before venturing to Chesnut Hill  to try to even the score with BC. I believe this will be a critical game for the Terps in their quest for 10 conference wins.
