Terrapin Nine Falls to Canisius 5-4 to Snap 4 Game Winning Streak

Maryland let two leads slip away, Canisius broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the eighth inning on a RBI single by Sean Jamieson and the Griffins beat the Terps 5-4 Friday night. The Terps surrendered a two-run lead in the fourth and after retaking the lead an inning later, allowed Canisius to tie it at 4-4 in the sixth. Maryland pitchers surrendered nine walks on the evening and three of Canisius’ five runs came from the result of a free pass. Freshman outfielder Michael Montville was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer that gave Maryland an early 2-0 lead.
