Commisssioner Swofford seems only to be concerned about taking taking care of his beloved Carolina teams. I am making no excuses for the team’s record this season, but let me ask some questions
–Why is the ACC tournament almost always in Greensboro. Many talk about how Maryland isn’t showing up but for a Baltimorean or DC guy it’s about $1800 per person to go. For a Carolina native it’s barely a tank of gas and he can decide to go at the last minute. I have been to the tournament many times and believe me it is not a neutral crowd. But that was Comm Swofford with a 5 ft wide smile today giving the trophy to Duke. Duke has 13 titles the Tar Heels have 12–Maryland 2. Do you think if every tourney was in Verizon we might have more then 2.
—I have made my feelings known about the snubbing of Maryland football= the bowl ban. Swofford did not nothing to prevent the 3rd seed (Maryland) from dropping to the 8th seed.
