The Maryland women’s basketball team earned a No. 4 seed in the 2011 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament the Women’s Basketball Committee announced Monday night. The Terrapins will tip off with 13th-seeded St. Francis (Pa.) Sunday at 12:20 p.m. in Comcast Center. Tickets to Sunday’s game, as well as tickets to all sessions, are available at umterps.com. Parking will be free in the lots surrounding Comcast Center. Also traveling to College Park will be fifth-seeded Georgetown and 12th-seeded Princeton, who will play Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The winners of the Maryland-St. Francis and Georgetown-Princeton games will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22. The winner of the College Park site will head to Philadelphia for the East Regional Semifinals and Finals next weekend. The Terrapins (23-7, 9-5 ACC) earned the 19th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history. Maryland is 27-17 all-time in NCAA Tournament games, including 10-2 in games played in College Park. from umterps.com
