Just my opinion:
#1—Old Course—not only the best in Scotlland but the best in the world. Every hole, every shot has character. The wind plays a definitive role but large fairways allow for shots off target. Favorite hole–too many to mention –but the highlights. First tee with everyone watching—definite jitters. 317 –the road hole—3 cracks at clearing the hotel –unsuccessful. But the best is 18. A free swinging tee shot to a 500 yard wide fairway. Then many watching the approach shot. Walking across the bridge is a special memory all golfers should share.
Most difficult part –the bunkers are impossible and so plentiful you can’t through the round without 2 or 3 sand shots. The bottom line is for any of you who really golf –St Andrews is a must visit. Tom Morris must have been a true visionary.

Amazingly I just played the Old Course on the 8th of April. I had to step away from the tee box on #1 as the nerves got the best of me. It was fascinating. I loved it. Had my tee shot on #1 and #17 videotaped. What a great experience for any golf lover!
