Brittany Dipper tied a career high with 12 saves to anchor yet another solid defensive showing as No. 1 Maryland derailed No. 16 Georgetown, 8-5, Thursday night. With the defense running on all cylinders, the Terrapin attack took full advantage of the few opportunities it was allotted, netting eight of the 13 shots it attempted as Georgetown controlled the majority of the possession via the stall tactic. Katie Schwarzmann led Maryland (18-0) with four goals. Sarah Mollison added two goals and extended her streak to 63 consecutive games with a point.
