Senior Tewaaraton finalist Sarah Mollison racked up four goals and four assists in limited action as No. 1 Maryland coasted by Navy, 19-6, in the first round of the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship Saturday. With eight points on the day, Mollison moved up to sixth all-time in career points at Maryland, passing 2010 Tewaaraton winner Caitlyn McFadden. The Terps (19-1) also picked up three goals each from Kristy BlackLaura Merrifield and Bria Phillips as the offense erupted for its highest scoring output since March 22. Katie Schwarzmann, who, in addition to Mollison, was tabbed a Tewaaraton finalist late last week, registered two goals and three assists on the day as Maryland advanced to the quarterfinal round for the fifth consecutive season. from umterps.com
