for the best if he goes. probably felt comfortable with old coaching staff. uva was his 2nd choice and they have the same coaching staff that recruited him.
Now I have to root against him? Again, I’m not following recruiting anymore. It’s a waste of time. No one really knows anything, and it is the sleeziest, corrupt, nonsense.
I get mad when people make stupid decisions. At the end of the day, it might have been recruiting Jordan Williams, that will make the next few years very tough.
We hear that Cleare is basically here already. Faust. Why Anderson would want to take a step down to UVA or VT, in terms of programs, baffles me. Then, instead of getting the talent together, it spreads out, and UNC and Duke love it up.
It is official though, Gary Williams never recruited 1 top player. Turgeon and crew couldn’t hold on to a Solid Verbal, which is bad.
Meanwhile, he signs Seth Allen? WTF is Seth Allen?
Hardly think this would be a step down for Justin Anderson if it does, indeed, happen. Hoos are on the rise under Tony Bennett. The talent level is being elevated and the man can coach. Maryland will undoubtedly be a good program under the new coach–especially since he seems more than willing to do what it takes to recruit (hiring the most highly paid “assistant coach”/player agent in the country is an indication that things are changing at MD, and unlike Gary Williams, the new guy is willing to get his nose dirty in the sleazy world of AAU basketball.
Well, Virginia is a better school, academically. Socially. All that stuff. You know, to prepare you for life and all. And Bennett is recruiting pretty well. So the basketball is headed up.
But until they get a point guard, they’re no threat, even with Anderson. But god help us if they get one. How’d you like to lose to Virginia twice a year???
