Junior Brittany Dipper and sophomore Katie Schwarzmann were tabbed IWLCA National Goalie and Midfielder of the Year, respectively, on Sunday. Dipper was statistically the best the goalie in the nation in 2011, boasting a stellar 6.54 goals against average and a career-high 141 saves. Schwarzmann was simply spectacular in the midfield in only her second season at Maryland. The Sykesville, Md., product landed IWLCA First Team All-America honors this season after being named a second team pick as a freshman in 2010. The Tewaaraton finalist registered team highs in goals (65), ground balls (38), and draw controls (45).
