It was a milestone-laden day for the No. 2 Maryland women’s lacrosse team as it routed Delaware 21-4 Thursday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
Head coach and former Terrapin All-American Cathy Reese won her 100th career game at Maryland and senior attacker Karri Ellen Johnson scored career goal No. 188 to move into sole possession of third on the Terps’ all-time goals list.
“I’m just so proud to be an alum of this program,” Reese, who is 100-11 with the Terps, said. “I’m proud of the girls that represent this program and I’m proud of the work they do every time they step on the field in continuing the great tradition of lacrosse we have here at Maryland.”
