Maryland wrestling head coach Kerry McCoy was voted the Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year for the second straight season and the third time in the past four seasons, the league announced Wednesday. Seven Terps were named to the All-ACC team, which was the most in the conference. In addition, Maryland announced Friday that the University and McCoy have reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension.
Maryland’s conference-leading seven All-ACC selections include senior Kyle John (157), junior Josh Asper (165), redshirt sophomores Christian Boley (197) and Jimmy Sheptock (174), sophomores Shane Gentry (125) and Spencer Myers (285), and freshman Geoffrey Alexander (133).
