At one point while I was watching both games, The Caps as usual were blowing a 3-0 lead as Florida trimmed the margin to 3-2 while Buffalo was leading 1-0. The Flyers unleashed a barrage of shots on Buffalo eventually getting the game winner with 3 minutes left. A minute or so later the Caps sealed the berth when Alexander Semin stuffed a backhand shot in the net. Should the Caps defeat the Rangers on Saturday, while Florida loses–Washington would achieve 3rd seed and home advantage for the first playoff series. Don’t count on it.
