Once Again—-Terps Advance to the Championship game Destroying #3 Duke 16-10

Many of my thoughts on a GREAT DAY TO BE A TERP:

Unseeded again and in the Championship game—hmmmmmmmm

Snubbed by the All America selection commitee, but he scores 4 goals against a “great” defense–Drew Snider is his name

The post game celebration was subdued by Terrapin standards as the guys know that there is unfinished business

The interior passing was superb today. Kevin Cooper had 4 assists and Joe Cummings had 3

Stats –what are they? Groundballs Duke 27-23 Faceoffs Duke 15-13 Turnovers Maryland 15 Duke 12

Niko Amato is looking like, talking like and playing like the leader of the band

The mosh pit was off the charts last night

Only 31,700 attended the doubleheader–I guess apathy has spread its wings

In the lunch room before the game, I was telling Paul Carcaterra and Quint, to look at last year’s game. Final four, Duke Maryland, extremely hot weather. History does have a tendency to repeat itself!

I definitely will miss not going to Stony Brook tomorrow.

Coach Danowski post game:“I thought they were much more confident than we were,” he said. “I thought that it was very different, and we know that. Maryland kids are tough and rugged young men and very confident. And I thought our guys backed down a little bit at times and were not as confident as they’ve been. But again, [that’s] perhaps due to how well Maryland was playing.”

Loyola thrashed the Irish in game 1–to set up just what the Lacroose/ nation needs—a Loyola Maryland final.

I have to admit that when Duke closed the gap to 2 goals I was worried. But John Haus came through Big Time and the rest is history.
