another story not having to do with sports. remember seeing 2 of the greatest movies at the pikes. the graduate and rocky. never cared for the parking there. used to like the mini flicks a little ways up across the street. remember seeing mandingo there.
Agree again Fred, but the times have changed and with video, On Demand and traveling iPad flicks, impossible for small theaters to compete/survive.
Would be great addition to invigorate moribund Pikesville, however.
the movie theaters make their money on food and drink. they sell 90 oz sodas for $8.00. there are several movies in and around boca where you pay 20-25 dollars for a ticket to sit on a couch and you can order a meal that will cost you $50.00 a person. rather watch a movie at home where i only charge myself $10.00 to sit on my own couch and eat a good piece of salmon for $10.00
