The No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team completed a perfect regular season slate with a 15-7 victory against Virginia Tech Saturday.
The Terps (17-0, 5-0 ACC) clinched sole possession of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season crown and boast the top seed in the upcoming league championship next weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C. Maryland utilized a balanced attack that featured six Terps notching two goals.
The Terrapins started fast, scoring five unanswered goals in the first half. Freshman Halle Majorana and senior Katie Scharwzmann opened the scoring, before senior standout Alex Aust influenced the next three tallies with a goal and two assists.
