Bryan Cole and Greg Danseglio Named Big Ten Players of the Week

Seniors Bryan Cole and Greg Danseglio have been named Big Ten Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, as announced by the Big Ten Conference Tuesday.

The pair of seniors were instrumental in the Terps’ season-opening 15-10 victory against High Point which included 11 second half goals.

Cole was tremendous on the offensive end for the 4th-ranked Terps, exploding for a career-high seven points on three goals and four assists in the victory. The Ontario native scored two goals to buoy Maryland in the first half, before dishing three assists in the second half to help secure the win.

Danseglio did not disappoint in his debut for Maryland on the defensive end, leading the Terps with six ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. The redshirt senior was key in holding High Point to just nine second half shots.

Maryland returns to action Saturday as it travels to #7 Yale for a key matchup at 1pm.

Not to overlook Zoe Stukenberg winning Offensive Player of the Week and Taylor Cummings winning Defensive Player of the Week just a week after she won the B1G Offensive Player of the Week.
