Seniors Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Brionna Jones combined for 42 points to lead the No. 4 Maryland women’s basketball team (11-0) past Loyola (4-6), 79-60, Monday evening at Reitz Arena.
Walker-Kimbrough scored 17 points while Jones posted 25 points and added 14 rebounds.
The Terrapins started the game shooting 9-for-9 and leading 22-7. Maryland finished the quarter with a 26-12 advantage after shooting 79 percent.
The Terps began the second quarter on a 10-0 run. Maryland scored eight points off turnovers in the quarter to take a 46-21 lead into halftime. The Terrapins shot 60 percent from the field in the first half.
Loyola went on a 10-2 run in the third quarter to cut into the lead, 50-29. The Greyhounds outscored the Terps, 12-6, in the quarter, but Maryland held on to a 64-45 lead.
