Bruce Posner – The last time the Skins were in Baltimore, I was suffocated by screams of “You like that” from the Redskin faithful as the Skins defeated the Ravens in a miserably boring game.
Well “You like that”. This morning at 5:30 AM, the Skins fired another Coach (Jay Gruden) after a horrendous 0-5 start. So let’s compare since the arrival of John Harbaugh in 2008.
Ravens are 107-74 in Regular season gamed and 10-6 in playoff games w 1 Super Bowl
The Skins are 71-109-1 in regular season games and a whopping 0-2 in playoff games. The waiting list is gone and right now the future is in the hands of Dwayne Haskins, the owner’s choice. The Skins have run several coaches out of town.
Meanwhile the Ravens are a picture of stability, under the non meddling leadership of Steve Bisciotti and Ozzie. One coach in 12 years. Always in the playoff hunt and having 16 playoff games vs 2. The Ravens are lead by one of the most exciting, young and successful QBs, Lamar Jackson. Lamar is 9-3 as QB1 and has rushed for over 1000 yards.
On the other side of the fence, I attended the Nats 6-1 playoff victory last night. Nationals Park, though far from sold out, was a vibrant keg of excitement. Yes I was a little green with envy when many of my Terrapin, National fans blistered me criticizing the O’s.
I miss my successful Oriole franchise years, since 1983 the good days have been far and too few.
By the way, Max Scherzer was beyond brilliant last night. I believe the Nats will win game 5 in LA on Wednesday. It might just be their year.
