Observations of An Unexplicable 52-48 Loss to an Undermanned Seton Hall Squad

Don’t jump off the bandwagon yet. I am not going to give any cliche reasons for this defeat or provide any spin.

A #7 team in the country does not score 7 points in the first 15 minutes of any game. Bad starts are one thing but 7 points? 18 in the half?

The Terps shot 26.9% from the field, committed 17 turnovers and had 15 blocked shots. It was a miracle that they only lost by 4. On the bright side, defensively the Terps were very good They out rebounded the Pirates 42-33.

Turge was extremely disappointed in the effort tonight.

2 games on the road —2 losses–2 poor offensive efforts.

But it’s just one loss, the Terps are still 10-2 and probably will drop out of the Top Ten. But let’s get real, after a game against Bryant the Big 10 play begins on Jan 4. These are the games that matter.

Chol Marial was cleared to play tonight.

Sticks needs help inside.

Turgeon and his staff have 16 days to right the ship as Indiana comes to College Park on Jan 4. I STILL BELIEVE!
