By Bruce Posner – This one got away. In a league where road wins are so crucial, the Terps were up by 1 with 13 seconds left with the ball. Analytics on this situation call for a victory probably 80% of the time. But Morsell, with a time out remaining, could not get the ball in play. He forced a bad pass and had the ball thrown off of him. Badger ball—wide open 3–Cowan misses a trey –game over.
Okay they played better then the Iowa game.
Not sure where the offense went. Is the standard for road games 50-55 points.
Stix and Cowan were 13-25 combined for 34 points. Wiggins rebounded for 13 points. The other 6 players combined for 5 points. Not the secret to success.
Terps out rebounded Wisconsin 35-24.
The heat is on–the next 2 games become must wins for the Terps. Saturday at home against Purdue and then a ROAD game at Northwesrern (6-10 1nd 1-5 in the Big Ten.
Despite my empty feeling tonight, Maryland will be 15-4 after Tuesday.
