Is it Maryland’s Turn?

ESPN College GameDay

By Wayne Viener

In a season that has seen Auburn host ESPN’s College (Basketball) GameDay for the first time and Baylor hosting for the second time, is it finally Maryland’s turn?

Rumor has it that the ESPN basketball pregame show will be in College Park for the 2/29/2020 game against Michigan State. (8 PM tipoff)  If so, it will be the first time the show has come to College Park for football or basketball.

The one thing against Maryland being the host is that the Terps were the feature game two weeks ago at Michigan State.

Maryland basketball already has a great wind-up to the 2020 home season with the Michigan State game followed on 3/8/2020 by a visit from the Michigan Wolverines.  The Michigan game is senior day (Anthony Cowan) and may be the last game for superstar forward Jalen “Stix” Smith.

Gameday starts at 11a, other venues have opened the doors at 9:30a.  ESPN College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and LaPhonso Ellis.
