“The one that got away” Stefon Diggs takes care of Business as the Bills Cruise to 17-3 Victory and Ends The Ravens season

My random comments after a brutal loss:

8 catches for106 yards yards and 1 TD for a Terps–Guess who?

Please—don’t dare blame this one on Lamar. Ok a poor pass picked off in the endzone for sure. BUT just no pursuit on the tackle. Take him down inside the 10 and who knows what happens. It took our center to finally create a situation where Lamar had to be taken out of the game. Not a vicious hit but a miraculous play to prevent a safety. Lamar didn’t drop 3 passes. Lamar didn’t miss 2 FGs that could have had the Ravens up 9-3 at halftime.

Lamar was sacked 3 times for 24 yards and he magically escaped several others.

No blame on Tucker, it happens and we are not even in the game without his clutch performances throughout the year.

The team rushed for 150 yards and Lamar was 14-24 for 162 yards.

Outside of the performance of Diggs, the Ravens D was stellar but never got the desperate turnover we needed.

The backup, Tyler Huntley played admirably considering he had barely played all year. But while he learns, lets get an adequate experienced QB. Is Trace McSorley or Huntley that guy, I don’t know.

Willie Snead spoke wonderfully about the organization postgame as if his days might be numbered with the Ravens.

No picking apart the Ravens, they were outplayed, outcoached, and suffered not being used to the wind. So be it.

Still all in all a great season as the Ravens were 1 of 8 teams left when 24 were at home.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE — too early to decide but:

Lamar must get get better receiver weapons, besides Hollywood and Andrews. Hopefully Nick Boyle returns healthy.

Please get a center who can snap the ball perfectly in the shotgun. This debacle of bad shotgun snaps must cease.

Extend Lamar’s contract before the season starts. I can’t ever imagine not being able to Watch #8 in a Ravens uni for at least 5 more years. He is Mr Excitement and only filled with good and love of his team and the city.

Improve the offensive line though the return of Ronnie Stanley will do wonders.

More discipline –less penalties and wasted time outs like the 2 early ones in the 1st half.

In summary, I will never complain about a 11-5 season and a playoff win but lets face facts–ravens fans want more.
