After a great visit this weekend, FB prospect Rashaan Moore from the Wise High School took the plunge and gave Maryland his on Monday according to terrapintimes.com. A James Franklin recruit, it was clear that the 6’2 230 lb kid from Upper Marlboro wanted to become a Terp—the 15th Committment for 2010.

It’s only an exhibition game but every Terrapin fan greatly anticipates tonight’s game.  My guess for the  starting lineup will be Bowie, Greivis, Sean Mosley, Landon, and Dino at the 5. I would not be shocked if Gary starts Eric Hayes over Adrian Bowie, simply because Eric is a Senior. I am sure that Freshmen James Padgett and Jordan Williams will each get significant PT tonight. I certainly will be at the game tonight and probably will be blogging live. … Read More »

-Obviously the Phillies needed to win, and they did off a rested Cliff Lee.  This was the easy part of the uphill battle as they return to Yankee Stadium down three games to two to New York.

–Player of the Game: Chase Utley.  Utley’s bat has been big in the Phillies two wins, getting two home runs in each.  His two dingers with four RBIs got them the lead and provided the eventual game winner. Bruce—I could mke a strong … Read More »

Everyone, especially Charlie Manuel, thought Brad Lidge was back to his old self just in time, but he allowed three runs in the ninth which gave the Yankees the win 7-4 in a key Game 4, making them one win away from winning the World Series.  The Phillies face a very uphill battle down three games to one; one that I don’t believe they can win.

–Player of the Game: Alex Rodriguez.  Fact is it does not matter what he … Read More »

Well now the Phillies know what the Orioles have to contend with 38 games a year—19 with Boston, 19 with the Yankees.

Shane Rollins might be right –the Series moght be over in 5 games.

I wonder if the Yankees fill their need for another Double AA infield prospect by trading Rivera.

Cliff Lee will extend the series to 6 games.

Tex will you please show up, Baltimore needs the pub.

Some observations of the crucial win for Ravens today:

Jared gaither’s return certainly makes the Ravens’ Offensive line one of the strongest in the NFL. With the ex-Terrapin in the lineup the Ravens are 4-0. Coincidence? Nahhhhh.

What a great leaping acrobatic, catch by Mark Clayton. That’s enough on that topic.

Brandon Marshall, Not impressed!!!!

What a day for Hauschka. 3-3 for field goals and tremendous kickoffs.

Somebody explain to me what the Broncos were doing at the end of … Read More »

The Terrapins finish the regular season with a 12-4-2 overall record and a 4-4-2 mark in the ACC. UNC ends the year with a 14-3-1 record and 7-3-0 in the conference. Carolina, the defending NCAA champions, scored the lone goal of the game with one second remaining in the eighth minute.

Maryland’s defense was stout throughout the game. Senior goalkeeper Mary Casey, playing in her final regular season game … Read More »

What in the heck is going on? Again this week Maryland makes the dotcom network. That is ESPN 360, almost ubearable to watch. The ACC barely makes any of the major network time slots. Very few fans are aware of the great year Georgia Tech is having. Only Miami and Virginia Tech seem to get any strong network play. Apparently, the Raycom contract is up–It’s time to move on and certainly obtain an ACC network channel. I am forced to … Read More »
