The NBA Championship is usually decided in game 4. Why? One team is usually up 2-1 and one more win just about wraps up the title. LA WILL WIN TONIGHT. I am almost positive. It took 62.5% shooting by the Magic to pull out the win on top of 5 missed free throws by Kobe . #24 also was visibly tired down the wire. The Svengali Mr Jackson, will rest Kobe earlier so this burn out doesn’t happen again. NO … Read More »

As I predicted, Orlando got its win last night but had to shoot 62.5% from the field to do so. Kobe missed 5 free throws and several key shots down the wire to breathe life into Orlando. Game 6 is Thursday at 9PM.
Marc-Andre Fleury emerged from the abyss of Game 5 to lead the Penquins to a 2-1 victory at Pittsburgh last night. But it was 2 remarkable saves by Scuderi in the final seconds after Fleury was virtually out of the cage, that saved the victory. Game 7 Friday night at Detroit.
Brad Bergesen was brilliant last night as the O’s used some key hitting by Nolan Reimhold to defeat Seattle before 17000 at the friendly confines of Camden Yards. The O’s have been 2 different teams at home and on the road this year.
I called Dino after the Orioles shocked everyone by selecting the Baseball America’s 18th ranked rh pitcher Matt Hobgood from Southern California. Tune in Thursday night to catch Dino’s comments on the draft.
Former Seton Hall assistant Martin Chinn was named as one of Brenda Frese’s assistant coaches as reported in umdterps.com today. “We have always been about family first here at Maryland and it’s pretty special to bring Marlin back home,” Frese said. “This is where he wants to be and he already knows why Maryland is an incredible place. As we got to know each other, we quickly found Marlin shares common traits with us – loyalty, work ethic, care … Read More »
“Stephenson, arguably the nation’s most overprized high school basketball talent, would have to decide whether a scholarship is a priceless gift or an unwanted obstacle; he’d have to either commit to an education or forgo the charade and play a year in Europe, where he could learn to insult his teammates and coaches in a foreign language before he skips to the NBA and becomes Commissioner David Stern’s latest ward.” Jenkins is in favor of making all first years sit … Read More »
Hudson Taylor was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference and National Wrestling Coaches Association all-academic teams, both organizations announced Thursday. Five additional Terrapin wrestlers joined Taylor on the ACC All-Academic Wrestling Team. Taylor, a two-time all-American at 197 pounds, is one of five repeat members on the ACC’s all-academic team after earning the league’s Scholar Athlete of the Year Award in wrestling a year ago. Taylor is the only Maryland grappler on the NWCA team.
