Starting Maryland left tackle Justin Gilbert is out for the season with a torn ACL, coach Ralph Friedgen said Tuesday, a setback for an offensive line that surrendered eight sacks against West Virginia and struggled with injuries and inexperience last season. “Justin was really playing very well for us. We were very pleased with him,” Friedgen said. “My major concern with losing an offensive lineman was being forced to play a redshirt freshman again.” Now Maryland will do … Read More »
Finally the deal is done. The University of Maryland and the University of Texas have agreed to a two-year home-and-home football series. Maryland will travel to Austin, Texas, on Sept. 2, 2017 for a game with the Longhorns. Texas will make the return trip to Maryland on Sept. 1, 2018. Just for the record that is 7 years from now!!! I am glad the game will be in College park and not Fed Ex Field.
16 shots on goal for Maryland —2 for Mason–This was never really a contest. Matt Kassel sets up the scores. North Carolina is the next opponent for the Terps. This game was virtually never in doubt.
It is unbelievable how fast Flacco has dropped in the minds of the Baltimore faithful. Not this fan. #5 is our guy and let’s give him a game off against the Bengals. I will say he seems to do his best in a no huddle offense, but the Ravens might save this for PIttsburgh.
I wish I was at Fenway last chanting Let’s Go O’s in the 9th inning as the Orioles were sending Papelbon to the garbage heap. Please resign Wiggy who hit a 3 run homer last night. The bullpen again was nearly perfect.
Got to love how Koji mowed down the Bosox tonight. Matusz pitched a strong 5 innings and the bullpen finished the job. Winning in September is awesome!!!
The Ravens offensive line and in general the Ravens offense has not been the same since Jared Gaither has been out. Whether or not Michael Oher is stronger at left tackle has no bearing on the fact that when both were in the lineup the running game was as strong as it has ever been.
Gary, Keith, Bino, and Rob have spent the summer following and recruiting Baltimore’s Nick Faust , Mississippi’s Johnny O’Bryant, Adjehi Baru, Greg Lewis, amd Antawn Space. Guard Sterling Gibbs has already verbally committed, and ad 2 or 3 of the remaining 4 and Maryland would be in … Read More »
I was hoping this wouldn’t happen this year but the loss to WVU and the fact that Duke is 0-2 probably sealed the fate of an internet game. ESPN3.com is a great improvement over ESPN360, however. Saturday’s game against FIU is on ESPNU.
Football, crabs, and beer—thats what Maryland is all about and now the Costas Inn has virtually every NFL game on one of its flatscreen TVs every Sunday. The Costas Inn on 4100 Northpoint Blvd—the NFL Crabs and Beer!!!!!
