When Intern Mason got home yesterday he shouted, “We got Sticks!!!”. “Sticks” refers to the composite 29th ranked player in the 2018 class, Jalen Smith. Depending the how the 2018 recruiting class shakes out (more on that later) Sticks could end up as a starter in the 2018-2019 basketball season. Projected starting center Michal Cekovsky will be a senior in 2017, the other big men on the roster (Rising Junior Ivan Bender, and Freshmen Bruno … Read More »

Melo will still get his chance though, he was signed last night at 10:48pm in the unofficial “3rd round of the draft”, the frenzied hours immediately following the draft to sign undrafted rookies. Due to his status as an undrafted free agent Melo will have to fight tooth and nail to earn a … Read More »

The team announced yesterday that the Wizards have dealt their 2nd round pick in exchange for New Orleans Pelicans backup point guard Tim Frazier. This seems like a good value for the Wizards, 2nd round draft picks often take a few years to contribute, that is if they contribute at all. Additionally, the Wizards already have several long-term projects on the roster (Daniel … Read More »
