Of all the Championship team members whose future with the team ws uncertain, the Ravens landed the key one with this signing. Without McKinnie’s insertion into the lineup, Boldin might not have had the run that he had and neither may have the Ravens. I can’t wait til preseason starts!

A super night at M&T Bank Stadium as I got the opportunity to meet long time ESPN Anchor Chris Berman. Chris mesmerized the crowd for 90 minutes, speaking at length about the Ravens great run to the title and his greatest moment as an announcer—calling Game 2131 for the O’s and Cal Ripken.
I was at the Ravens game with Stan the day Heap was injured against Pittsburgh. Remember that’s the game Joey Porter cheap shotted him. Anyway, we heard it was a high ankle sprain. Stan told me that’s one of the worst injuries to recover from. Todd Heap was never the same. I hope Blake Griffin has a better healing process.
My gut feeling is Strasburg isn’t very physically or mentally tough. Though he has tremendous ability and talent I don’t think he’ll be an effective pitcher over the long haul. I see him pitching 3 years and losing it for whatever reason– physical and or mental. Hope I’m wrong because he has rare talent.
