Junior Ali McEvoy’s first career hat trick helped lead the third-ranked Maryland field hockey team to a 6-0 dominating win over Dartmouth Sunday in the final game of the Terrapin Invitational.

The Terps (5-1) dominated the game on both ends of the field. They outshot Dartmouth (1-3) 34-5 and had 17 penalty corners to the Big Green’s one. Senior Megan Frazer added two goals and freshman Sarah Sprink had one as well.

Harrisons Set In-Home Visits

Aaron and Andrew Harrison will host all five of their suitors during in-home visits beginning Sunday, according to Reggie Rankin of ESPN.com.

The twins will host Kentucky, Maryland, Baylor, Villanova and SMU on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.

Baylor gets its home visit with the Harrison Twins Sunday and Maryland on Monday, sources told SNY.tv.

On all my shows this week, I kept up the mantra that we were not playing LSU, for pete’s sakes it was Temple. Where was the vaunted running attack. Matt Brown was held to 35 yards on 10 carries. Joe Vellano and AJ Francis were superb. 

Ok so Stefon fumbled a punt but he had 135 yards on only 9 touches. Included was the game clinching 34 yard reception.

The No. 4 Maryland men’s soccer team toppled #24 Boston College 4-0 Friday night to pick up its first conference win of the 2012 season.

The Terps (3-0-1) once again showcased a balanced attack with four different players notching goals, including freshmen Christiano Francois and Schillo Tshuma and redshirt juniors Jake Pace and Widner Saint Cyr. The defense, led by three saves from Keith Cardona, picked up its third shutout against a nationally-ranked opponent.
