These two teams met just about a month ago and some things have changed, but most have not.
The biggest difference will be in the Blue Jay midfield where junior midfielder John Greeley is out due to a torn ACL suffered during Hopkins’ 8-2 loss to Navy on April 21 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. I don’t expect any Terp fans to feel sorry for the Blue Jays, especially since their top midfield line may have gotten even more effective … Read More »
Are you kidding me!!! Without Blake’sperformance in game 7 (5-6 from the 3 point line) the Lakers are not even in this series. If you watched the entire game, it was Blake who hit the big 3 to send the Lakers up by 5. It was Kobe who missed everything down the wire, who could not get open, who caused 2 turnovers. Why was it that only Shaq and Barkley came to Blake’s defense. Blake’s coach and teammates left Steve … Read More »

Denver vs #1 Loyola Saturday 2:30 at Annapolis
A game I am really looking forward to watch. I have a lot of problems with Denver even making the tournament. Without Denver’s win over Duke on “rewards” night where is their quality win. 2 shots to beat Loyola in the Mile High City and no victories. If Dalton and his wings can go 50-50 with Chase Cararro at he X position, Loyola will win again and Justice will be served. As … Read More »
The bullpen carried us again. Dana Eveland pitched 3 scoreless innings. Kevin Gregg was sharp again. The O’s are now 24-14. 12-5 on the road. 5-2 in extra innings—6 wins a row on the road
The Long Island Lizards have dealt perennial all-star Nicky Polanco to the Chesapeake Bayhawks in a deal that gives Long Island the rights to Duke long-stick midfielder C.J. Costabile, multiple sources confirmed to Inside Lacrosse.
The deal ends speculation about Polanco’s future, as the two-time MLL Defensive Player of the Year has not played in the Lizards’ two games this year. It also reunites Polanco with former defensive partner Brian Spallina, who this offseason was picked up by the Bayhawks.

The first midfield of Drew Snider, John Haus and Mike Chanenchuk were terrific and played like warriors.
Snider played like a guy who wasn’t ready for his collegiate career to be over. The fifth-year senior scored two of his three goals in the fourth quarter to help the Terps erase an 8-6 deficit at the end of the third. But the goals were only part of the story as it is the “1” in the stat line under the heading … Read More »
Chen was pitching a hit out until he got Jeffrey Maiered on a 2 Run “HR” by Curtis Granderson. The bullpen came in and saved the game. With a few timely hits the O’s could have scored 15. But outside of being annoyed by many Yankee fans, it was a great night to be at the ballpark. Xavier … Read More »
Ashton Pankey will leave the University of Maryland after the current semester due to family reasons, head basketball coach Mark Turgeon announced Tuesday. Pankey, a 6-foot-9 redshirt freshman forward from the Bronx, N.Y., told Turgeon he needed to find a school closer to home in order to aid his family. “My mom is the rock in my life and I promised her I would take care of her like she did for me,” Pankey said. “Therefore, I am choosing to put my … Read More »
