The first commits of the 2019 Maryland Basketball class have been landed. Earlier today top-100 rated twins Makhi and Mahkel Mitchell of Bishop McNamara verbally committed to the Terps as first reported by Terrapin Times. The twins are both 6-9 post players, with Mahki at center and Mahkel at Power Forward.

            The DMV to UMD movement can’t be stopped! The Terps have grabbed their 6th DMV recruit over the last twenty days, and the second one in the last nine from DC powerhouse Woodson High School. Our latest get is defensive back Noah Boykin, yet another three-star. Boykin is highly ranked for a three-star, placing in the top 500 in total player composite rankings. He is ranked as a four-star recruit by 24/7 sports.

Last night Walt Bell tweeted a familiar GIF featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles yelling “cowabunga!” in celebration. The most recent 4-star commit is Jaylan Duncan, an Offensive Linemen from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. Maryland Basketball’s 2018 recruiting crop continues to look very promising as 4-star point guard Devon Dotson has the Terps listed is his top eight. Dotson is ranked 38 on Scout, 36 on Rivals, 33 on ESPN, 25 on 24/7 for a composite ranking as the 31st best player in the 2018 class.
