Some observations of a VERY disappointing loss at the Cassel in Blacksburg.
—10 Wins in the conference is going to be a tough task. Whereas I expect the Terps to win their final 3 homes against UVA, NC State, and FSU without Chris Singleton, winning the last 2 road games is a tall task. Carolina is suddenly playing like a top team and Maryland always has trouble in Coral Gables. Therefore with 8 or 9wins in the conference we might … Read More »
We all know it. Game after game the Terps just get nipped. It’s time when this must be turned around. Last game at College Park, Erick Green was on fire hitting 12-16. With Singleton’s injury at FSU the Terps will be favored to win their remaining home games, which means to achieve the goal of 10 conference victories wins over the Hokies and Canes seem to be a must. Look for the following tonight:

Memo-30 Gary ‘s Post Game Press Conference
This one really hurts. I journeyed up to Chesnut Hill todayand suffered through another nip and tuck battle that the Terps barely lost.
Some of the bad points:
Maryland had no answer for Reggie jackson who finished with 31 points on 12-16 shooting, including 1 of 5 threes very late in the game that served as the dagger.
The Terps fall to 5-5 in the conference in a game that was perceived … Read More »
In its quest for as many conference victories as possible, Maryland journeys to Boston College to try to even the season’s series with the Eagles. Back in December BC nailed 13 threes to defeat the Terrapins by only 4. BC had no answer for Jordan Williams but Maryland fell victim to poor free throw shooting down the stretch. Maryland is a much better team now and it will be interesting to see if PeShon can continue his tremendous play. The … Read More »
I talked with Jeff Barker of the Sun before the game and his feeling was that Sean Mosley was going to become more assertive going to the hoop tonight. Sean is 9-13 from the field for 20 points with 8 minutes to go in the game. I guess Barker had a good feeling. Terps 87 Longwood 39
Now it’s time for a few days to prepare for the Eagles at Chesnut Hill on what I believe is Judgment Day for the Terps. When BC … Read More »
When you have a good point guard the points are usually evenly distributed. PeShon has done a great job of passing the rock. Sean Mosley who seems to be looking for his shot is up to 9 points. The Hawk has 10 in just just a few minutes of PT. Could it be that he has the best shot on the team? Dino has 10 points and 8 rebounds as Jordan has logged only 10 minutes due to personal fouls. … Read More »
Breunig, the 6’8″ PF from Germany will soon visit the campus.
This is a game in an ACC break period for the Terps when there is a week’s gap between games. Longwood is led by junior Antwan Carter, who is 6-foot-6 and listed as a center. Carter has 11 double-doubles this season and most recently had 29 points and 11 rebounds in a 65-64 loss at NJIT. Longwood comes into Wednesday’s game having lost three straight and possessing an 8-18 record on the season. The Lancers are 0-13 on the road … Read More »
Never take anything for granted in the ACC. Maryland’s first game at Wake saw Cliff Tucker explode for 21. The Terps won easy but I only hope the disappointment over the Duke loss doesn’t hang on the minds of Maryland. A quick look at Wake
:Forward Travis McKie leads the team in scoring with 12.6 points a game, second among freshmen in the ACC… McKie also leads the Demon Deacons on the boards, averaging 7.5 rebounds per game which is … Read More »
