It’s a simple fact—Wdnesday night will be a real test for the 8-3 Terps.  William and Mary has defeated Wake forest, Richmond, and most recently Radford on the strength of 3 point shooting. The Tribe also lost to UConn by only 9 and Harvard (who defeated BC) by 2, both games were on the road. they carry a 8 game winning streak into the game Wednesday.

Some observations of Maryland’s 8th Victory of the year:

Greivis was stellar today scoring 26 on 12-20 shooting with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.  After the game he spoke about the need for stronger rebounding and his slow start. Greivis FAU

Landon chipped in with 19 points.

Sean Mosley sat out the game with an ankle injury but could have played if needed. Gary was saving him for a very tough William and Mary Game Wednesday night.

The Terrapins play FAU, coached by Mike Jarvis, at 2PM on Sunday afternoon. Jarvis was the coach of the St John’s team that defeated Steve Francis and the Terps in the NCAAs. This will be the one of 3 games remaining before the start of the ACC season.

Winston-Salem State University is 2-6 in 2009.  The Rams are led in scoring by 6’2″ senior guard Brian Fisher at 12.1 pts per game and 6’5″ junior forward Shelton Carter chipping in with 11.9 pts. a game. Winston-Salem was once coached by Hall of Famer Clarence “Big House” Gaines who won 828 over 47 seasons including 18- 20 win seasons.
