The Ole Ball Coach (Steve Spurrier ) took his Gamecocks into NC State and sqeaked by witha 7-3 victory. The ACC needs to win a few of these big intraconference games. So yes, I will root for the Hokies to upend Bama on Saturday! Of course a Terrapin win over BCS contender Cal would cap that day off.

Forget the final 17-13 score, the Ravens thoroughly dominated the Panthers tonight. Steve Smith was virtually shut out by ex-Terp Dominique Foxworth. #5 was 23-27 and 247 yards. Shaun Hill took the Terps to the Orange Bowl in his Senior year and now, at last, he has been named QB! for San Francisco beating out 1st draft pick Alex Smith. Hill has labored in the background throughout his 8 years in the NFL. When given the opporunities to start he has performed at high levels. He is a gutsy, clutch QB as he proved at Maryland.
