From the Sun, check out this video of DHB with his family at the time of the announcement. When I go back over DHB’s career at Maryland the only thoughts I have of him were scoring touchdowns. It seems like every time he touched the ball  zooooom he was gone. The Oakland Raiders have selected a great athlete and a great kid. After 2 years in the NFL the second guessing of selecting him over Crabtree will cease. … Read More »

Yes I am excited about the spring game this afternoon. Maryland day at College Park is great for any fan. I anxiously await seeing QB1, Chris Turner going deep to Adrian Cannon, watch the new Terrapin defense, and overall observe the many new names in the lineup. My suggestion is to go to umdterps.com and print out the depth chart to get a better feel of the players.

As of now Darrius has been projected as low as the 7th pick by the Oakland Raiders. Unless the Jets decide to try to move up and select QB1 from USC, Mark Sanchez–I believe the Jets will grab the 4.3 speedster with the 17th pick. Kevin Barnes and Jamie Thomas should be t least 2 more Terrapins drafted this weekend.

Eric DeCosta wanted to have a look at DHB. Being less then an hour away, Eric brought his young gun, #5, down to College Park to really test the projected 1st Round receiver. Flacco was impressed with all aspects of Darrius’ game.  Look for the Ravens to make Darrius its #1 pick should he last to #26. This is doubtful, however. When Darrius clocked a 4.3 in the 40 and then followed it up with a 38 inch vertical, his stock … Read More »

Former Terrapin Domonique Foxworth, who played at Catonsville’s Western Tech,  signed a four-year deal worth $27.2 million, including $16.5 million guaranteed with the Baltimore Ravens today. Foxworth had a stellar career as a dback at Maryland which led to his draft into the NFL as a 3rd round pick of the Denver Broncos.

The Ravens lost Bart Scott and Jason Brown to free agency today and it … Read More »

To nobody’s surprise, Greivis Vasquez was named ACC player of the week for the 3rd time this year. To my surprise Marissa Coleman got the nod over Kristi Tolliver, but as long as it stays in the family who cares!!! Darrius Heyward-Bey’s stock continues to soar after running a 4.3 40 at the NFL combine. He is projected as a mid to late first round pick and I would be surprised if he got past the Ravens.

Bernardo Bramson, Steve Mike-Mayer, Jess Atkinson, Nick Novak, Dan Ennis are all legendary Maryland place kickers. The legacy hopefully continues with the new freshman addition of Nick Ferrara. In 2008, Nick nailed 14 of 16 field goals and 46 of 48 PAT’s. He also handled the punting chores for St Anthony’s. Nick should eventually become a fixture in the Terrapin’s offense. Quoting the Sunpapers , Nick explains why he wanted to come to Maryland,“It’s like a family environment. My sister … Read More »
