Jeff Barker from the Sun reports that the Terrapins will utilize both QBs–Jamarr Robinson and Danny O’Brien Saturday night. Friedgen said it had been his intent all along to play O’Brien. “We’re going to use them both,” the coach said. O’Brien was in for only one play – a botched handoff to Davin Meggett at the Navy 16 with the score tied at 14. The fumble spoiled a 57-yard punt return by Tony Logan on the previous play. “
Maryland free safety Kenny Tate has been named the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for games of the weekend of Sept. 4. Tate, a 6-4, 220-pound junior free safety from Forestville, Md., made the play of the game in the Terrapins’ 17-14 victory on Monday when he stopped Navy quarterback Ricky Dobbs on fourth down from the 1-yard line with 34 seconds remaining. Well the talk and speculation will finally end tomorrow at M&T Bank Stadium. My advice is to GO to this game. It is a true spectacle anytine to watch the Naval Academy. The game 5 years ago was awesome. Here’s my take on the game.
