After a great visit this weekend, FB prospect Rashaan Moore from the Wise High School took the plunge and gave Maryland his on Monday according to terrapintimes.com. A James Franklin recruit, it was clear that the 6’2 230 lb kid from Upper Marlboro wanted to become a Terp—the 15th Committment for 2010.
What in the heck is going on? Again this week Maryland makes the dotcom network. That is ESPN 360, almost ubearable to watch. The ACC barely makes any of the major network time slots. Very few fans are aware of the great year Georgia Tech is having. Only Miami and Virginia Tech seem to get any strong network play. Apparently, the Raycom contract is up–It’s time to move on and certainly obtain an ACC network channel. I am forced to … Read More »
Sorry, I can’t except watching a game on the computer as a substitute for being on the real tube. Somehow the game on a 42, 46 , or 52 inch HD TV supercedes the sight of a 5″ X 5′ picture on the net. It is an outright joke.
After watching the replay of Saturday’s disaster against Duke, one thing is clear: Let Chris Turner loose. Put him in a 8 yard shotgun and let him do what he does best. There is nothing to lose now. Let’s see what Jamarr Robinson can do. The Terps need to go out firing on all cylinders. Please, please don’t burn Danny O’Briens redshirt.
Junior Safety Antwine Perez scared Terrapin nation Saturday when he was carried off the field with possible neck injuries. According to Coach Friedgen, Antwine is fine. His injury caused the burning of the 10th redshirt–this time it was Baltimore native Eric Franklin. According to the Coach, Franklin played excellent even contributing 1 sack. Here’s hoping the redshirt burning stops short of impressive QB Danny O”Brien.
There is very little to say after today’s loss, in which a disappointing season keeps getting worse. Some observations of another tough conference game.
I listened to 90% of the game and enjoyed it much more then watching on a stuttering 360. I just finished watching the replay on 360 but it should be noted that Comcast will replay the game at 7:30 tomorrow night.
Caleb Porzel had some good moments though his stats tell a different story.

From Jeff Barker’s blog in the Sun comes the story of Torrey Smith’s take on the perfoemance of QB1 Chris Turner.
“From the outside looking in – with the media and fans – it might look like he’s doing a terrible job,” the wide receiver said.“More than likely it’s a lot of stuff that isn’t him,” Smith said. “Chris is a guy, when he’s confident and protected, he’s one of … Read More »
On Sunday night, Coach Friedgen insinuated that we would see much more of JaMarr Robinson and Danny O’Brien. Well at his press conference yesterday, Coach retreated from his criticism of Harpo. “I think Chris misconstrued some of things I said on Sunday night….I don’t know if that’s the case. And I am going to sit down and talk with him.
“I thought he practiced fine last night. You know, I think there were some throws Chris could have made, … Read More »
“It is stressful, but what’s different about this is maybe these kids are trying too hard, I don’t know. I don’t have any problem with their effort or their attitude. I know they’re disappointed when they turn the ball over, but it just seems to come up. I not only feel bad for us, but for them, too. I want them to be successful. I want them to understand the benefits and reap the rewards for their effort. That’s what’s … Read More »
After promising to leave my biased opinion on the shelf, I an coming out of a 4 week prediction hiatus on the Terps. 5 Reasons why the Terps win today.
—There was no quit in the team in the 2nd half last week. The guys will step up on homecoming day.
—The torrential rains we have been having will slow down the pass run. Bruce Campbell should be back . The pass protection was getting better until Campbell’s injury.
