What a tremendous week for Coach Edsall. If you listened to Terp Talk Thursday night, recruiting guru Dave Lamonico said there was soon to be another commitment. He was right as Thursday night Anderson realized that Maryland was the place to be for him. Much more on Terp Talk DC on Saturday morning. Here is a list of the commitments so far:
Richie Anderson RB 5-11/180 … Read More »
As was said on NBA TV—from Vilification to Vindication—the better team clearly won and certainly for the time being LeBron is the king of the game. He was utterly sensational. LeBron played the game like I have never seen it played. He became the 5th player to have a triple double in a clinching game. Post game, LeBron admitted that his failures last year humbled him.
Tonight the Heat were able to slow Westbrook down by clogging the driving lanes. … Read More »
the cramping issue with the King was worse then the Heat let it. OKC has got virtually 0 production from Hardin, Cephalosa, and Ibaka. It is inconceivable that Westbrook can play any better then he did Thursday yet the Thunder still lost.

Brian Roberts failed to deliver in the 9th with the bases loaded and 2 out.

Of course I love the depiction of the flag in the end zones. It’s green, it’s traditional, it’s safer, it will look great on TV, it’s cooler, etc. An outright winner!!!

The Harrisons, Rysheed Jordan, Jaylon Tate—all great guards. I wonder how it will all shake out for Maryland. Remember it was an unofficial visit for the Texas lads.
SAO SEBASTIÁO DOS PARAISO, Brazil – Incoming freshman forward Jake Layman scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and added two assists as the USA dropped Argentina 107-72 Tuesday afternoon in the semifinals of the FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Men in Sao Sebastiáo dos Paraiso, Brazil.
Layman shot 3-of-6 from the field, 2-of-4 from behind-the-arc, and added a steal and a blocked shot. After Tuesday night’s performance, Layman ranks fifth on the team in scoring averaging 9.5 … Read More »
OKC is just not ready for prime time. You have to lose before you win so they say in the NBA. Despite a tremendous 20-32 shooting performance from Russell Westbrook, OKC got little or no contribution from anyone other then KD. James Harden was 2-10 and missed 4 wide open threes. Perkins, Sefolosha, and Ibaka were pathetic and did not dominant the Heat’s bigs like they should have.
One would think that Scott Brooks and his staff would have shouted … Read More »
Miami has responded in a physical way since the opening game loss to OKC. LeBron has established himself as the dominant player on the court with tremendous assistance from the refs. I remember back when LeBron’s talents were on display in Cleveland and believe it or not, the Cavs were facing the Wizards in game 6 at the then MCI Center. With less then 10 seconds left and the Cavs trailing by one, the side was cleared and LeBron went … Read More »
