I just had to verify we lost that game. I still don’t believe it. Just a couple of comments.
I watched the Lee Evans play 25 times. In slow mo it appears maybe he caught the ball but we live in real time. In real time it doesn’t even look close.
Cundiff ran on to the field –had a few moments to take a deep breathe- never had time to tense up–never had time to think about missing–if Harbaugh … Read More »

There have been painful losses, the playoff loss to Green Bay on Chandlers failed kick ruled Good, Michigan State’s miracle … Read More »

Do you think it’s easy to coach legends of the game like 52 and 20. The Ravens defenders speak of Pagano in reverence. We will be lucky to get 1 more year out of our DC before he becomes a head coach.
It’s easy to get caught up in all the Tom Brady, Bill Belichick hype that goes with backing the New England Patriots. Certainly the Patriots looked great against Tim Tebow and Denver last week. But, really, how good were the Broncos, who were 8-8 and backed into the playoffs? Brady and Belichick are sure first ballot Hall of Famers.Brady leads a flashy offense that averaged 32.1 points a game, third-best in the NFL, and a second-best 428.2 yards per game. … Read More »
Tianna Hawkins had already taken a seat on the bench, happy to savor a solid victory by Maryland (No. 7 ESPN/USA Today, No. 8 AP).Then, with just over two minutes left in what would be an 86-58 rout of Wake Forest on Thursday night, word got to coach Brenda Frese that Hawkins was one rebound short of setting the school record. Hawkins was thrust back into the game, snared her 24th rebound on the Maryland end with 32 seconds left, and wore … Read More »

Alicia DeVaughn added nine points and her and Tianna Hawkins each added nine rebounds. But the Terrapins outdid the ACC’s best defense by holding the Cavaliers to 39 percent shooting and finishing … Read More »
This remains uncharted territory for Lakers guard Steve Blake. He’d never suffered a rib injury, at least nothing serious enough to keep him sidelined. “I’ve taken shots in the ribs before,” Blake said, “and I’ve never had a problem.”
But now he has. The Lakers estimate that it will take three or four weeks for Blake to fully recover from fractured cartilage that connects the rib to the sternum — a long way from the team’s initial day-to-day prognosis and Blake’s … Read More »
7 catches 180 yards 2 TDs says it all—The Terps were 5-6 in Vernon’s final 2 years at Maryland. What I remember vividly is how difficult it was to bring Vernon down. It was a great day for a great Terps.
