With all that was going on today at College Park, there was definitely a feeling of an Olympic type venue. My day started at Comcast watching the Lady Terps in round oneof the NCAAs. However today was no contest as the Terps opponent was totally mismatched. Maryland jumped out to a 23-2 over St Francis lead and never looked back. Alyssa Thomas is an impressive player and led the Terps with 16.

Now we know what a great job the Big East media mill did this year. FLORIDA STATE TOTALLY DISMANTLED NOTRE DAME!!!!! That was the easiest prediction of the year. Charles Barkley was destroying the Big East right in front of Rick Pitino. Barkley dismissed Marquette’s win over Syracuse as a win over a mediocre team. I really thought FSU would win easily because of the return of Chris Singleton but he was barely a factor. Look out for the Seminoles. … Read More »

All apologies to Shelvin Mack for my claims of mediocrity. he was fantastic last night. Butler played like … Read More »

Maryland scored just once after a three-run first inning and Boston College came up with six unanswered runs on its way to a 7-4 victory over the Terrapins on Friday night. The Eagles (7-8, 1-3 ACC) used seven pitchers and held Maryland (9-9, 0-4 ACC) to one hit – a home run by second baseman Ryan Holland in the eighth – over the final eight innings. Boston College starter Andrew Lawrence lasted only an inning, but reliever Hunter Gordon (1-0) … Read More »
